Well Mr. Allison, if he turns out to be a valuable asset I will admit I was wrong about him. But even after reading this article I still can't see it. He is not going to hit for an average and don't believe he will give you anywhere near the pop Ian Happ can. If and when the Cubs announce the signing I will cheer him on as a new Cub member, but looks like another DD to me. Respectfully.

He's pretty good against lefties so I think the Cubs will use him in that sort of rotation

cucubbie... If Souza is going to be the part time starter against lefties, what is Almora's role??? Another year he doesn't get a real shot at earning the centerfield position.

He has to get on-base better .271 in 130 games last season ... Was a tough year , was one of the weakest outfielders in mlb hitting wise. He had a pretty big sample size of 339 at bats to show what he could do.

I'm a huge fan of his potential ... Still shocked he can't steal a base or two ...4 steals in 4 seasons with all that outfield speed he shows.

It's up to him to take the job and I'm hope he does.

I agree cucubbie, Albert had a pretty dismal year last year, but he did hit .277 in 2016, .298 in 2017 & .286 in 2018. Loads of potential there. Last year it didn't help the way Maddon would never let any centerfielder get enough constant playing time to get on a roll... in my humble opinion... ??

Sousa may be a great guy with a big heart, but I'm tired of the Cubs signing injury prone players for a bargain in hopes they become some super star. Not signing Castellanos will be just another blunder. I want to see a competitive team on the field. The fans are paying the price for the depleting minor league prospects we had with very little return, and the big dollar long year contracts that were made. We need a guy like Castellanos on this team. I don't care how they do it but find the money to sign him. I'll take him over Schwarber any day , at least he can hit for average, Schwarber has yet to prove that.Seems like Ricketts and Epstein are big on taking chances so take a chance with Nick Castellanos

I still think a Bryant trade = a Castellanos signing.
